Dune: Sisterhood

If you believe Albert Einstein, there are two infinite things in the world: the universe and human stupidity. And while the theory of the universe has since expanded, accumulating new data, and has somewhat changed, a third position can be added to these two postulates, namely human imagination. It is this imagination that has brought technological progress into the world, and it is this imagination that will allow further development in the future, reaching for the stars.
What is the series Dune: Sisterhood about?
A terrible and incredibly bloody war has passed. People managed to overthrow the artificial intelligence that sought to rid the world of humanity, justly considering it merely a mold on the body of nature. But the victory was achieved, and humanity split into orders. One of these orders, founded by a group of Mentats, became the Bene Gesserit sisterhood. They did not accept men into their ranks, they sought power, like all similar structures, and they tried to prevent a repetition of the bloody carnage that occurred shortly before their founding.
Remembering the danger of the lifeless mind, they nevertheless recognized the benefits of such a method of control. Engaging in an eugenics program combined with genetic research, they created a biological mind capable of even predicting the future. Long years of painstaking work, moving towards the goal in small steps, an enormous amount of time and resources spent by more than one generation – all of this collides with ordinary human emotions. Sister Jessica, who was supposed to give birth to a girl, went against the order's decree, and out of love for her husband, gave him an heir, Paul. This put the entire experiment on the brink of collapse, devaluing all the work expended by the order.

The series is a spin-off of Denis Villeneuve's film "Dune," which was released in 2021.
Initially, filming was supposed to begin back in 2020, but was postponed for 2 years due to a number of urgent reasons.
