The premiere on NTV and BS NTV took place on October 4, 2024, during the Friday Anime Night block. “Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc.” (株式会社マジルミエ) is a Japanese anime series in the magical girl and corporate satire genres, adapted from the manga by Sekki Iwata and Yu Aoki. In a world where magical girls are a common corporate profession, the tiny agency “Magilumiere” struggles to stay afloat. The staff consists of just one experienced magician, Hitomi Kosigaya, who desperately needs a partner. By chance, she becomes paired with an ordinary graduate, Kana Sakuragi, whose talents are hard work and excellent memory. Modern magicians fight not with spells, but with the latest achievements in science and technology.
The tone is dynamic, comedic, with elements of corporate satire. The series breaks the mold of the magical girl genre: there are no school secret identities, but there are KPIs, overtime, corporate intrigue, and competition between agencies. Hitomi is a professional with boundless self-confidence, while Kana is a novice learning on the fly.
