Flynn Fisher is a young, attractive girl from a small American town, living in the not-so-distant future. There isn't much work in their town, and the overwhelming majority of the local population are veterans of various wars. Flynn's brother, Barton, has a rather easy job – he gets paid to play video games. One day, he turns to his sister for help – he needs a day off, but he can't just take one – someone needs to cover for him at work. And Flynn agrees to work in her brother's place.
It seems like nothing too complicated for her, but everything spirals out of control when she unexpectedly finds herself in another reality. The most terrifying discovery made by the heroine is that this reality is real, not virtual. Finding herself at the end of the 21st century, she witnesses a murder. The worst part is that someone in the future has found a way to move between worlds, and he has certain goals...
