An honest, sometimes awkward, but lively story of a woman who confuses the desire to be married with the desire to be happy — perfect for those tired of glossy romantic comedies.
Netflix released the Argentine series Envidiosa on September 18, 2024. Vicky is approaching forty, and she is fed up that all her friends are already married while she is stuck with a boyfriend who is afraid of commitment. She gives him an ultimatum, gets rejected, breaks up, and throws herself into the search for a husband who will share her main dream — to be married. The tone is ironic, sometimes bittersweet, with the typical light hysteria of Argentine comedies: the heroine constantly compares herself to those around her, envies their happiness, and fails to notice her own achievements. The format consists of 30-minute episodes, released in seasons of 11-12 episodes. If you enjoy Sex and the City, but with less gloss and more anxiety, or Emily in Paris, but with age wisdom and Latin American flair — Envidiosa is perfect for an evening marathon with a glass of wine.
The third season was released on November 19, 2025. The fourth season has been announced, but the premiere date has not yet been revealed.
Currently, there are three seasons, and the series has been renewed for a fourth.
