Kang Tae-joo, a former ace of the metropolitan police, faces serial murders in the countryside and is forced to team up with prosecutor Cha Si-yeon, with whom he has had issues since school days. The tone is a dark crime thriller with noir elements, where the palette of cold tones emphasizes the alienation of provincial landscapes. The atmosphere is reminiscent of "Memories of Murder" and "The Village," but with a sharper focus on the conflict between investigation and oversight. Format: 12 episodes of 60 minutes, weekly release schedule. If "Temptation of Fate" met "Signal" in the backwoods of Korea, this project would result.
