Plot of the series

Alison got married when she was very young. The man she chose to tie her life to was distinguished by his good manners and restraint. But it couldn't be any other way, as his profession required him to behave appropriately. Alec was a promising writer working on a series of novels. At first glance, the girl fell in love with this intelligent gentleman, who seemed to her a man of honor capable of sincere feelings.
They lived together in marriage for quite a long time. And it seemed that their happiness was simply absolute. Throughout the years of marriage, the woman never regretted her choice. When the news of her husband's death became known, she literally fell into depression. All her relatives tried to support her, but they understood that at that moment, words were meaningless. This lady lost a loved one whom she loved madly. And now no words could offer her comfort. It would take a long time, and only then would she learn to control her emotions.
But there was no time left for the lady to grieve. At the funeral, she met a mysterious stranger who delivered shocking news. It turned out that she was the legal wife of the deceased. It was extremely hard to believe. Since Alison was sure that her husband would not hide such an important detail from her past. However, what she heard did not give her peace. The woman was constantly tormented by doubts. To dispel them, she hires a private investigator and assigns him to learn about Alec's past.
