The Outsider

Stephen King is a giant in the world of horror literature. Since 1974, around sixty of his books have been published, many of which have been adapted into films. His works have sold hundreds of millions of copies, with approximately three hundred fifty million books sold in various languages. The latest adaptation of his book is the series "The Outsider," which is, as always, captivating and intriguing. Therefore, many would be interested to know when "The Outsider" Season 2 will be released?
What is the series "The Outsider" about?
Ralph Anderson is a detective in the local police department located in a small American town. An ordinary man dealing with life's challenges as best as he can, including with a bottle. Three years ago, his son died; cancer is no joke, and this disease consistently and constantly takes lives. The main character has not fully coped with his loss, which causes ongoing disagreements with his wife.
A murder occurs in the town. Someone has killed a boy, not the oldest, and the details of the murder are simply shocking; the body is found with signs of human bites and covered in saliva. There are several recordings from surveillance cameras, a couple of witnesses claiming that the culprit is Terry Maitland, a children's coach who seemed to be an honest and respectable family man.

An enraged detective arrests Terry right at a baseball game and sends him to a holding cell; however, it turns out that the defendant was actually in a different place at the time, as confirmed by witness testimonies and the same video recordings. An ironclad alibi, but the question remains: who killed the boy?
The suspect is kept in custody awaiting trial, and another incident occurs in the town. The MO is the same, but the perpetrator is different. What is this? Madness spreading like an infection, through touch or airborne transmission? Or are the old legends of a monster from another world, capable of taking any form, not just fiction?

Ralph Anderson is a detective in a small town facing inexplicable events from a forensic perspective. The role is played by Ben Mendelsohn.
Terry Maitland is a coach of a children's baseball team at the local school. Accused of brutally murdering his student, but he has an ironclad alibi. The role is played by Jason Bateman.

Howard Salomon is the lawyer for the Maitlands, who later helps Ralph in investigating the strange murders. The role is played by Bill Camp.
Glory Maitland is a real estate agent, Terry's wife. She tries to escape public condemnation due to her husband's arrest. The role is played by Julianne Nicholson.
