The story told in the film turned out to be so captivating that the creators decided to expand it. It is still unclear when the release date for Arrow Season 8 will be announced, as the producers have not made any bold statements and have not promised anything regarding the number of parts of the show throughout its airing.
Series plot
Oliver was born and raised in a wealthy family. His parents never denied him anything. Perhaps that is why he grew up so spoiled. Problems began when his father and mother suggested that their son grow up. They needed to be sure that in the future their offspring could take over the family business. However, with each passing year, it became clear that the guy was not interested in becoming the head of the company at all. Naturally, this situation did not sit well with his relatives. They hoped that their son would become their reliable support, but that did not happen.

Moreover, no one likes the fact that Oliver is a typical heartbreaker. He easily charms girls and then dumps them. Since he does not wish to build any serious relationships. For him, love is an interesting game that can be played for pleasure and then forgotten. The only girl who truly captures his attention is a real wallflower. Together with her and his father, the guy goes on a sailing trip and does not suspect that this outing will completely change his life.
During the sailing trip, a terrible thing happened. The ship began to sink. The girl who accompanied the hero immediately drowned, while his father managed to save him. But in doing so, the man sustained serious injuries, so he could not reach the rescue island. The only one who survived was Oliver. He realized that he was on a deserted island and almost immediately lost hope for rescue. Since the guy was sure that no one would come here. But he was mistaken. As it turned out later, this island served as a secret base for a group of criminals who stored their loot here.
But after Oliver's return, he was able to breathe a sigh of relief, which cannot be said for him. For the guy learned that everything that happened was not an accident. Someone orchestrated the breakdown and literally sent the young man's father to the other side. After returning, he continues to play the role of a rich and foolish guy, but in reality, Oliver becomes a true hero in disguise, who plans to punish the criminals harshly. Now he must be careful not to give himself away.
Main characters

Oliver Queen – the son of wealthy parents who disappeared many years ago and spent those years in captivity on an island. He returns to his hometown to punish the criminals. He is the legendary hero known as Arrow.
John Diggle – the hero's loyal friend, with whom he is used to sharing his problems.
Felicity Smoak – works in Oliver's team and considers him a good person. Until a certain time, she does not even suspect that she feels more than just friendship for him. Eventually, she becomes his wife.
