The Magicians

Mystical dramas have been in vogue for several years now. This genre always attracts attention and proves to be quite popular. In fact, such themes no longer surprise anyone. However, the creators of The Magicians Season 5, which is scheduled to be released in 2020, are an exception as it is completely different from the rest.
Plot of the series
Quentin never considered himself special. On the contrary, the young man was convinced that he did not stand out from the crowd at all. However, this is not the case. In reality, he is a magician. His abilities remained dormant for a long time. For this reason, the young man had no idea about his true origins. He was sure that he was just an ordinary mortal and a typical outcast. Indeed, his peers refused to associate with him because he was too interested in the parallel world. The boy spent a lot of time reading a mystical book, which caused discontent among those around him.

The only person who always supported and understood him was Julia. In fact, it was thanks to this girl that the hero never felt lonely. Of course, he also tried to support her and never refused to help. However, the boy completely failed to notice her true feelings. For many years, the beautiful girl has been in love with her friend, who simply considers her a close person. She does not dare to confess her feelings. The poor girl understands that after her confession, their friendship would be impossible. Therefore, she prefers to remain silent and suffer. With each passing day, it becomes increasingly difficult for her to hide her true feelings.
And one day, they both found themselves in a magical world. They were simply transported there by higher powers so that the guys, among other candidates, could take a magical exam. Both of them showed signs of magic. However, it was forbidden to take everyone into the academy. Because magical power cannot always be developed. To avoid admitting a too weak magician for training, this test was devised. Only Kevin managed to pass it. He was given the opportunity to leave the human world and fully relocate to a parallel reality where magic reigns. Of course, he did not refuse this opportunity.
Main characters

Quentin – a boy who became a student at the magical academy. He is engrossed in books about a mysterious land called Fillory.
Julia – a friend who is in love with the hero, although she does not tell him about her feelings. She begins to practice dark magic to get into the academy.
Alice – a hereditary magician whom Quentin falls in love with. Their relationship will face many trials.
Eliot – Quentin's friend and mentor, who loves to give advice.
Penny – has the ability to move between worlds but does not yet know how to control his gift.
