Fans of the action genre were undoubtedly pleased to learn that the series may receive a continuation. However, it remains unclear what exact decision the creators of the project have made. But if they decide not to cancel the show, the release date for Strike Back Season 8 will be set for 2020. For now, we can only wait for further news.
Plot of the series
John is a military man. He went to Iraq on a very important mission. There he even managed to make real friends. Unfortunately, it was his fault that they died. The man was required to kill a boy who had just turned 13. This mission seemed so strange and terrifying that he simply couldn't bring himself to carry out the order. He let the frightened boy go and became completely disillusioned with his superiors. He believed that a rational person would never give such an order. Of course, they were at war. But that didn't mean innocent children could be killed.
At least, that's what the hero believed. He simply refused to accept and acknowledge the fact that danger lurked around every corner. And even an innocent-looking child could be extremely dangerous. Soon it became clear that John had made a terrible mistake by sparing the boy. The boy infiltrated the camp and killed two of his comrades. It turned out that this boy was a well-trained assassin who was pursuing his goal. He pretended to be helpless for this very reason.
The realization of the terrible mistake he made haunted the man. He simply couldn't accept the fact that he was the cause of his loyal comrades' deaths. Therefore, immediately after the mission ended, he resigned. The man no longer wanted to return to that nightmarish place and make difficult choices again. But after 7 years, he returns to his old profession. And this time he is set to participate in a rescue mission.
Main characters
John Porter – a former special forces soldier who hesitates to return to his former profession for a long time. His past mistake cost two lives. But after several years, he becomes a soldier again and joins the 20th unit.
Damien Scott – a loyal friend and assistant to the hero. He always stands for justice and believes that this world can be made better. It just takes more effort.
Michael Stonebridge – also serves in the 20th unit. However, he is very wary of Porter, as he is well aware of the past events that led to Porter's departure from service.
