In the last season, the trio of original vampires managed to seize power over the entire city, and they decide to put an end to all disagreements between the clans of vampires, werewolves, and witches. The events of season 6 will be a logical continuation of what we have seen before, but it is unknown whether this will be the conclusion of the entire series or if the creators plan to release another season.
Main characters
Klaus is one of the original vampires who, along with two other "originals," moves to New Orleans. He has a relationship with Hayley, with whom he subsequently has a daughter who possesses the abilities of both a vampire and a werewolf.
Elijah is an original vampire who has a very complex character and makes considerable efforts not to spoil relationships with those around him.
Rebekah is also a representative of the "original" vampires, and as part of the trio of main characters, she moves to the new city, where she, along with the others, deals with emerging problems.
Marcel is a human who has been appointed the leader in New Orleans and oversees order there, but he does not do very well, and the originals are forced to intervene.
