Main plotline
The main characters are employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Their team is based in Karelia. The team leader, Sergey Gireev, is a strong-willed, tough, and demanding person. From the very first moments, a conflict arises between him and the new intern, Alexander Grek. But Grek remains in the team, trying to prove to everyone, and to himself, that he is worth something. He could have returned to Moscow and settled into a cozy position at headquarters.
But he and the other team members work in dangerous conditions, risking their lives daily to save someone. Anything can happen. From a simple call to open an apartment or balcony door to real disasters. Fire, flood, explosion, or fall from height, in all these cases, rescuers are called. They search for tourists who have gone missing in the woods and prevent ecological disasters. They also save people from burning buildings, pull teenagers from flooded caves, and look for young people who have gone missing at the lake.
Along the way, the series also reveals the personalities of all the main characters. Alexander Grek spends three seasons trying to figure out his relationship with Lina. But they never get to the wedding. When the team is transferred to Ulyanovsk, Lina goes to Moscow. After losing his only daughter, Sergey Gireev mourned for a long time. Then he had a relationship with Maria Shimko. But she leaves with her daughter. And long-distance relationships fail.
In the third season, the Ministry of Emergency Situations team arrives at a new base in Ulyanovsk. They need to train newcomers since a tragedy occurred before that. An entire team was killed. Gireev does not like the interns. They are undisciplined and know nothing. Working with them is difficult. But there is no choice, as orders are not discussed.
Throughout the third season, Grek, Gireev, and Petrov teach the newcomers. And the interns Skvortsova, Sokolov, and Semechkin begin to make progress. Although they still have more "screw-ups." But they want to work, so they continue to learn. The rescuers also have a new sworn enemy in the face of businessman Musorgsky.
