Description
The New Channel launched on March 8, 2009 (International Women's Day) an intellectual show where 50 blondes challenge the stereotype of "dumb blondes" and compete against a male star in erudition. The format is adapted from the Dutch "Beat the Blondes." The man answers questions, hoping that the blondes will make mistakes — for each mistake the girls make, he earns money. If the blondes answer correctly, they stay in the game. The host Lesya Nikityuk (since 2018) is the first woman in this role; before her, the show was hosted by Andrey Domanovsky and Sergey Pisarenko. The format is about breaking stereotypes with humor, where "hair color does not determine IQ."
