We Are Lady Parts

Who said that Muslim women cannot make their mark on the world or at least in a particular country? Yes, at home they are limited by a multitude of rules and customs, but who can stop them from doing it in London? The heroines of the series "We Are Lady Parts" dared to do just that, and we have the opportunity to see what came of it!

What is the series We Are Lady Parts about?
Amina is twenty-six, young and attractive, living in London, where she studies microbiology, and plans to find a worthy life partner, but so far unsuccessfully. She plays the guitar beautifully and shares her skills with children from difficult families, but Amina herself lacks the courage to step onto the stage and declare herself to the world. Moreover, she is a Muslim, and such things are not welcomed. But London is a city of opportunities, and it would be foolish to miss a chance.

At the same time, a punk rock band made up of Muslim girls plans to conquer the British capital, but first they need to complete the group, as they are missing a guitarist. And this is a real opportunity for the shy and indecisive Amina to make her mark. Together, the girls will strive for recognition and show the world what they are capable of.

We Are Lady Parts Season 2 – who is who?
Amina – a future microbiologist, the new lead guitarist of the female punk rock band. Played by Anjana Vasan ("Where Are You From?", "Sex Education", "Spider-Man: Far From Home").
Saira – the leader of the punk rock band, the main singer and rhythm guitarist. Played by Sarah Kamilla ("RSC: The Tempest").
Aiysha – the drummer of the punk rock band. Played by Juliet Motamed.
Bisma – the bass guitarist of the punk rock band. Played by Faith Omole ("Young Morse").
Montaz – the manager of the band featuring the aforementioned girls. Played by Lucy Shorthouse ("Everybody's Talking About Jamie", "Duty Calls", "Bulletproof").

Nur – Amina's close friend. Played by Aiysha Hart ("Make Me Famous", "In the Grip of Hope", "Atlantis").
Ahsan – Aiysha's brother and Amina's love interest. Played by Zaki Ismail ("Indian Summer", "Counterstrike", "Britannia").
Abdullah – Saira's boyfriend. Played by David Avery ("Her Alibi", "What Lies Below").
Sima – Amina's mother. Played by Shobu Kapoor ("I Hate Suzie", "Four Weddings and a Funeral", "Krypton").
Zarina – an influential figure and magazine editor. Played by Sophia Barclay ("Defending the Guilty", "Grey and White").

We Are Lady Parts Season 2 – when will it be released?
The exact premiere date for Season 2 of "We Are Lady Parts" has not yet been announced, but if renewed, it is expected in the fall of 2022.
