It is well known that series heavily depend on ratings. If they are too low, the project is immediately canceled, as it becomes impossible to recoup the investment. Unfortunately, this is the reason why the release date for The Killers Season 2 remains unknown. Critics' reviews have not been very flattering, so a continuation may not happen.
Series Plot
Katherine was a fragile girl known for her kindness and ability to forgive. But this side of her was destroyed after her younger brother was kidnapped. Since then, she has been unable to calm down. The police immediately began searching for the boy after his disappearance. However, they were unable to make significant progress in the investigation. They simply advised the relatives to come to terms with his death, as he had been held captive for too long. Consequently, he had no chance of survival. Moreover, no one could guarantee that the young man had not been killed immediately after the abduction. Most detectives leaned towards the opinion that this was indeed the case. The body was simply hidden very well, which is why it could not be found.
Upon hearing that the authorities planned to close the case, the heroine was enraged. She understood that law enforcement simply did not want to pursue the case due to the lack of evidence. This was precisely why they were trying to close the case so quickly and simply forget about it. However, unlike her parents and friends, she could not forget that her brother was missing. Moreover, she continues to believe that her relative is still alive. To uncover the truth, she decides to become a detective.
Years later, the heroine returns to her hometown after training and starts her service. Her first serious case is the investigation of the circumstances surrounding the boy's disappearance. His mummified body was recently found at a construction site, and now his mother demanded that the police find her son's killer. For some unknown reason, Katherine feels that this case is connected to her brother's disappearance. What frightens her the most is that she suspects her stepfather of the committed crimes.
