Series Plot
The main characters of this story are members of the Hack family. They all live in the state of Indiana. However, the show's creators decided that it would be appropriate to set their residence in a fictional town rather than a real one. Thus, by the writers' design, all family members reside in a small provincial town called Orson. Notably, from the very beginning, all these characters are portrayed as completely ordinary people, who are no different from other Americans.
The head of the family is Michael. He has been married to his beloved wife for many years and has never regretted his choice. He considers himself a completely happy man. His wife, Frances, has always supported her relatives. After all, she was convinced that no one is more precious to her than her children and her beloved. This belief became literally the meaning of her life. The couple is raising three children, who are completely different from each other and from their parents. Each child has different personalities and views on life.
The only thing that unites the characters is their desire for a better life. Unfortunately, they have not managed to earn a lot of money and provide their children with a life full of abundance. Of course, this was somewhat disappointing. However, the couple decided to compensate for the lack of financial resources with love. Above all, they loved and valued their children. Therefore, they believed that the kids would never notice the absence of money. Indeed, when they were very young, they didn’t think at all about the value of money. But as they grew older, this changed.
In the pursuit of money, Michael and his beloved also participate. Suddenly, they clearly realized that they truly needed money. Because they must take care of their children's future. After all, they cannot let them experience hard times. It would seem that such grown adults should definitely not make foolish mistakes. However, even they are not immune to errors and problems that put them in very awkward situations.
Main Characters
Frances – a caring mother and wife. She always supports her loved ones and tries never to lose her spirit. After all, she bears a heavy burden.
Michael – the man considers his main flaw to be a certain childishness. In fact, this is precisely why he cannot become the full-fledged head of the family.
Axel – this teenager has too many problems that he is not eager to talk about. Therefore, he often finds himself in awkward situations.
Sue – a cheerful girl who dreams of being friends with absolutely everyone.
Brick – the youngest in the family. Despite his young age, he is quite a clever guy.
