The British series "Murders in Steeltown" tells a story that actually took place in South Wales, which has managed to attract the attention of quite a broad audience. What is the series "Murders in Steeltown" about?
1973, South Wales. The police discover the bodies of three teenage girls, brutally murdered. Initially, one body was found, and soon after, two more. Law enforcement agencies are conducting a vigorous investigation, trying to find the killer, but unfortunately, they are unable to achieve any results. The police then decided not to link all these murders, attributing them to a single perpetrator.
Paul Bettel was just starting his career as a detective, and the methods of the local cops outraged him. Moreover, he had his own opinion about the case being investigated, but no one would listen to the young and "green" officer. Thirty years later, the killer's DNA was finally identified, thanks to modern technology, as well as the fact that all three victims were killed by one person. Bettel manages to lead the investigation, thus getting a chance to correct the mistakes made in the past.
