Plot of the series
This series is historical and therefore transports us to events of past centuries when the Ottoman Empire was one of the largest and most powerful states on this planet. Anyone with common sense feared becoming an enemy of the Ottomans, and rightly so, as it was practically impossible to defeat the army of the mighty sultan. It is the dawn of culture, politics, and economics of this country that we will witness as the plot unfolds.
The main character of this series is Anastasia – a beauty who was captured by the Ottomans. For her extraordinary beauty, she is sent to the sultan's harem, where she becomes a concubine. At first, the girl plans how to escape from captivity and return to her homeland. But then she develops feelings for Ahmed – the sultan, who has just begun to lead the empire after his father's death. The young emperor also falls in love with the foreign beauty. Love makes Nastya abandon thoughts of escape and accept that this land will now be her home. She renounces her former faith and name and receives a new name – Kösem.
However, not everything in the lives of the lovers is as wonderful as it may seem at first glance. Many nobles are dissatisfied with how their king rules the state, and they demand more radical and harsh decisions from him. Gradually, all these unrest lead to a conspiracy that puts the emperor's life in danger. Consequently, all his close ones, including Kösem, are also at risk.
