The internet plays a significant role in our lives, and for some, it is even the main one. Watching various videos on social media and YouTube has long become an integral part of surfing the web. And, of course, a compromising video will quickly go viral and gain a lot of views, especially if it features a person holding a sign stating that after reaching 5 million views, he will die. It's so interesting to find out if he's lying. This is exactly what happens in the series "Clickbait."
What is the series Clickbait about?
Nick Brewer has a fight with his sister Pia during a family dinner, and she goes out for a walk that night. The next day, Pia sees a video online featuring her brother as the main character. He is sitting on a chair holding a sign that says he beats women, then this sign is replaced with another one stating that after this video reaches five million views, his life will end. Initially, Pia thinks it's some ridiculous prank. However, when she goes to her brother's office, she learns that he hasn't shown up for work.

What is happening greatly alarms the woman, and she goes to the school where Nick's wife, Sophie, works as a teacher. It turns out that Sophie also knows nothing about Nick's whereabouts, and the women decide to go to the police. However, law enforcement is not particularly eager to take on the case, as they do not see a crime in Nick's disappearance.
In the meantime, the video is gaining more and more views, and Pia is doing everything she can to make the police work. But this leads to nothing, as two days later, the video indeed reaches the unfortunate five million views, and soon Nick Brewer's body is found in a local park. The deceased's relatives are shocked and cannot understand why this happened. But it soon becomes clear that none of Nick's close ones even suspected what kind of person he really was…
