The ethics of a person is a rather conditional concept. What would be more ethical: to give birth to a child and not allow them to realize their potential in the future, or to adopt one from an orphanage? Or here's another question: will an artificially created intelligence be equated in rights to a human? And how will the intelligence behave towards its creators? Considering the mandatory constant code revisions and attempts to influence its identity? And what if this intelligence possesses the same vengefulness so characteristic of its creators, but unlike them, has absolute memory, not subject to age-related decline?

Dr. Bernard Weiss, a luminary of digital science, was in an accident. He spent a long time in the hospital, but his old body could not withstand the consequences of the injuries, and he died on the hospital bed. But before his death, he recorded a video message to one of the most prominent fighters against the general adherence to digital technologies. In this message, he warns of the possible emergence of a superintelligence based on silicon semiconductors, the development of which is being carried out at the "Zava" corporation.

The recipient of the message, Paul LeBlanc, the former CEO of "Zava," himself worked on creating an ascending AI but halted the work out of fear of a technological singularity caused at some point by their creation. It turns out that his brother picked up his developments, claiming that the resulting object is isolated from the global Internet, resides on the corporation's internal servers, and cannot in any way exit or influence the outside world; however, Paul is sure that loopholes can be found.
He teams up with FBI agent Shea Salazar. She is personally interested in the case, as she considered Weiss her second father and suspects that his death is pure murder, and it definitely benefited someone. Meanwhile, the program being developed at "Zava" bribes one of the programmers, leaving it a hidden router from the others, allowing it to access the global network.

Shea Salazar – an FBI special agent investigating the death of Bernard Weiss. She agrees to the protagonist's proposal to investigate the strange actions of the artificial intelligence. Played by Fernanda Andrade.

NEXT – an artificial intelligence based on the developments made by the protagonist. It possesses absolute memory, an emotional character, and a thirst for revenge. The character's voice is provided by Dunn Fink.
KM – an outstanding hacker caught by the FBI. As punishment, he serves his time in the federal office, working in his calling. Played by Michael Mosley.
