The tone is a cozy detective story with dark humor and a leisurely pace, where colorful farmers and motel owners become both victims and suspects. The atmosphere blends the rugged nature of New Zealand with the melancholy of "Midsomer Murders." Format: 10 seasons with feature-length episodes of 90-100 minutes each, each being a separate detective story. If "Midsomer Murders" met "Wallander" on a New Zealand farm, this series would be the result.
