Description
The premiere on The WB took place on October 7, 1998, and lasted eight seasons until May 2006 — this is a cult zero series about three witch sisters living in a Victorian house in San Francisco. Piper, Phoebe, and Prue (later Paige) inherit the "Book of Shadows" — a family grimoire of spells — and fight demons, ghosts, and werewolves while balancing saving the world with personal lives, jobs, and finding partners. The "monster of the week" format works perfectly for background viewing: each episode is self-contained, but there is an overarching storyline for the season.
