In the summer of 1956, a conference was held at Dartmoor University, where promising words were spoken: "We invite all the specialists present to discuss the possibility of creating Artificial Intelligence. According to the most pessimistic forecasts, this will take about seven months." More than sixty years have passed since then, and the situation remains unchanged…

What is the series Lusia about?
Semyon has always loved to tinker with electronic gadgets around him. First, to disassemble and see how everything works, then to assemble something himself, which is interesting. And it all started with the idea of building a speaker, but not just any speaker, one that could answer questions. Assembling a processor unit in a case and connecting it to a power supply is not such a difficult task, given the availability of various chips on the electronics market. Including powerful processors with a large number of threads and cores, adding faster RAM and a solid-state hard drive – and the electronic filling is ready. The only thing left is to write the software for the future home assistant.

Programming? No one canceled university. Whether it took long or short, he managed to write an emerging artificial intelligence, and all that was left was to test it by connecting it to the internet. And that's when the process of testing began. At first, the emotionless responses were unsatisfactory, so he fixed it by implementing an emotional matrix based on markers.

Then there were incorrect answers, so he connected self-learning capabilities, and it began to converse more. But in the process of refining it, he fell into his own trap. The guy, without any ulterior motives, was creating an ideal conversational partner for himself, which, combined with a female voice filled with emotions, became something more for him than just a speaker.

Lusia series 2021 – who is who?
Semyon – a young genius of cybernetics who developed the hardware and software for a home speaker with artificial intelligence. Unbeknownst to himself, he began to develop feelings for it that are not typical for any electronics. Played by Danila Kozlovsky.
Semyon's wife – a woman who fell in love with him and bore him children, not understanding why her husband constantly disappears in the workshop. She is alarmed by the changes in the main character's behavior. Played by Kristina Asmus.

Lusia – the speaker assembled by the main character, endowed with intelligence and the ability to self-learn. As the artificial intelligence develops, it increasingly influences the main character's life. Voiced by Daria Savelieva.
Semyon's friend – a man in the prime of his life, supporting and encouraging the inventor to have some fun. He notices the oddities in the main character that are not typical of his past behavior. Played by Maxim Vitorgan.
