What is the series Method Mikhailov about?
Maxim was born and raised in Arkadyevsk, a resort town on the shore of a warm and gentle sea. By the age of seventeen, he went to realize his dream of becoming a surgeon. Since his hometown is small, and there are hardly any universities, his path led to the capital, where there is definitely a medical university, and people are needed there. Six years of university, three years of internship, then practice with constant certification renewal; in general, he had not been home for quite a long time and did not plan to return, as gaining practical experience in the capital would be more beneficial.

He is forced to return by a message from home: his mother has fallen ill with Alzheimer's. She needs care and supervision, and no one can provide that except him. Upon arriving in the seaside town, the hero's first task after visiting his mother is to find a job, as treatment requires financial resources. He finds a position at a local clinic, where there is a shortage of staff, and a competent surgeon is worth their weight in gold.

After meeting everyone, he is assigned to duty on his very first day of work. During his first night shift, a patient arrives with an open cranial injury. In the capital, such a procedure is routine; the on-call neurosurgeon is summoned, and the patient is operated on in the shortest possible time, but it doesn't work that way here. There is an on-call surgeon, which is him, but without the "neuro-" prefix. The specialist in this field resigned just a couple of days ago.

Mikhailov reviews the medical history, hoping to find an answer to what he did wrong, and discovers something interesting: someone had a tissue compatibility test done, which is only performed for organ donors. It must be admitted, it's an expensive test, and it's not done just like that. The main character decides to find out who needed this and what he should be wary of later.
