Ordinary Woman

Anna Mikhalkova is a very talented actress, which is why millions of Russian television viewers follow her work. They also paid attention to the multi-part film Ordinary Woman. The release date of season 2 was initially planned for the second half of 2019. At least, that is the promise given by the channel's management.

Plot of the series
Those around are convinced that Marina is happy. She is married to a talented entrepreneur who provides for the family, raises two wonderful daughters, and even finds time to run his own business. After all, the woman is the owner of a small flower shop. However, in reality, there is not as much joy in her life as her friends think. Her husband has been cheating on her for a long time. The lady found out about this completely by accident, although she had long suspected his infidelity. He was only tender with her in public. When they were alone, all tenderness seemed to disappear.

She also cannot find common ground with her daughters. The younger one, attending a private school, becomes a victim of mockery. But she is in no hurry to share the secret with her mother, so their relationship gradually deteriorates. The older daughter tries to avoid relationships with her parents. She fears that they will find out her biggest secret – the girl is pregnant. And she hasn't even decided what to do with the child yet. As a student, she finds herself in a very difficult situation.

Her relationship with her mother-in-law is also strained. After her arrival, the heroine's life gradually turns into hell. The woman constantly defends her son and does everything possible to make Marina feel guilty for his fatigue or bad mood. Of course, such disdainful treatment does not sit well with her. After all, she understands that her mother-in-law does not value her at all. She considers her son perfect, and his wife merely a useless addition.

But then one of the prostitutes turns up dead. Realizing that her death will raise unnecessary questions, the heroine decides to hide the corpse of the deceased. However, after some time, the police find it and begin to investigate the circumstances of the girl's death. Lavrova does everything she can to cover up the case, but at the same time, she independently searches for the one responsible for the unfortunate woman's death.

Main characters
Marina Lavrova – a woman who presents herself as the ideal wife and mother. But in reality, she is not at all the person she pretends to be.
Artem – the heroine's husband, who has been deceiving her for many years. When he goes on another business trip, he simply visits his mistress. He doesn't even suspect that his wife has known about his secret affair for a long time but has not taken any action yet.

Ekaterina – the older daughter. As a student at a prestigious university, she had great hopes. But her successful future is threatened by her pregnancy.
Zhenya Krasnova – a girl who needs money. Since her relative has fallen seriously ill. To get money for her treatment, she is willing to sell her own body.

The film received rave reviews at film festivals held in Cannes and Zurich.
At one of the festivals held in France, the actress in the lead role received a prestigious award.
The series does not contain any scenes of hard crime, although it belongs to the detective genre.
