Plot of the series
The Rose family is very well-known in the area. They are wealthy. However, the family members have no idea how to manage their money. Johnny managed to create a chain of video stores, but he was not eager to take on the responsibilities of a manager. He considered it a heavy burden. He had to oversee the work of his subordinates, analyze the market situation, and even develop a business plan. Naturally, this was not part of his plans at all.
Wanting to have as much free time as possible, he agrees to hire a manager. He shifts all his responsibilities onto this person. Close friends tried to dissuade him from this idea, as they considered it dangerous. The business world is very harsh, and one must always be in a state of readiness. Every entrepreneur knows this truth well and tries never to forget it. Competitors are always on the lookout, ready to take advantage of any opportunity.
But Johnny is confident that he has no reason to worry. He chose the best specialist in the field. Moreover, he had an excellent reputation, so there was no reason to expect any foul play. However, it soon became clear that Johnny had made a fatal mistake. It turned out that the manager had been working solely for himself all along. Gradually, he managed to obtain information about all the accounts and even access to them. The man committed theft and took all the money from the family.
As soon as the characters arrived in the province, they faced the fact that life here was drastically different from what they were used to. Moreover, the locals were not at all pleased that a member of the founding family would now settle here. They had their own reasons for this. But the heroes had nowhere to go. They had literally lost their means of existence.
Main characters
Johnny – the head of the impoverished family. To survive, he is forced to move with his relatives to a provincial town. Many years ago, his parents bought it, and now he could settle here on completely legal grounds.
Moira – a typical socialite who is used to everything going according to her plan. Losing her means of livelihood, she sinks into depression and constantly nags her husband, believing he must find a way to fix the situation.
David – the son of the couple. He adapted to the new living conditions faster than the others.
Alexis – a girl who grew up in luxury. She is not used to poverty, so she struggles to cope with the situation she finds herself in.
Stevie Budd – an employee of a small hotel. She later managed to buy it and become its owner.
