For fans of "The Big Bang Theory" who wanted more Stuart and less Sheldon. Lorre steps out of his comfort zone, and it's noticeable — the series is bolder and more absurd than the original. If you like comedy that isn't afraid to be silly — go for it.
Premiering on HBO Max — July 23, 2026. Stuart Bloom, owner of the comic book store Comic Center, accidentally breaks a device created by Sheldon and Leonard, causing a multiverse armageddon. Now he must restore reality with the help of his girlfriend Denise, his geologist friend Bert, and quantum physicist Barry Kripke. Along the way, they encounter alternate versions of characters from "The Big Bang Theory." Chuck Lorre, the creator of the original, calls it a "sci-fi adventure comedy" and admits he wanted to do something radical after decades of "two people on a couch." Format — 18–26 minutes, a sitcom with elements of action and multiverse. If you like when a spin-off isn't afraid to be crazier than the original — go for it.
