Network 10 launched the Australian version of Taskmaster on February 2, 2023. Tom Gleeson as the Taskmaster and his loyal assistant Tom Cashman present absurd challenges to five comedians each week, testing their ingenuity, creativity, and ability to surprise. The winner is determined by points awarded by Gleeson at his discretion. The tone is cheeky, improvisational, with Australian humor. The format consists of 10 episodes per season, filmed in New Zealand. If you enjoy the original British Taskmaster, Squid Game, or comedy challenges in the spirit of Big Fat Quiz of the Year, the Australian version retains the spirit of the format while adding local flavor.
The fifth season was announced in April 2026, and the show continues to air.
