The Last Man on Earth

The title of this film often misleads many, as people assume it is a science fiction story. However, this project actually belongs to the comedy genre. The show The Last Man on Earth Season 5, the release date of which has not been announced, quickly gained popularity. And now fans cannot come to terms with its cancellation.

Plot of the series
People have fantasized a lot about what the end of their civilization would be like. Some even suggested that it wouldn't be without ominous zombies. However, it turned out to be much more mundane. Gradually, a deadly virus wiped out the entire population of the planet. Scientists tried to find a way to save the lives of those who fell ill and to localize the outbreak. However, they failed to achieve any of their goals. In just one year, the entire population of Earth was destroyed. Only Phil Miller managed to survive.

This man never expected to be left completely alone and have to fight for survival. However, he continues to hope that there are still people left somewhere in this world. That is why he decides to embark on a round-the-world journey. Along the way, he leaves messages. After all, perhaps someone will follow him. And then they can meet at the final destination. At least, that is what the hero hoped. He managed to reach a town called Tucson, which was located in the state of Arizona.
After a long journey, Phil gradually begins to lose faith that there are any survivors left. And therefore, he makes a truly terrible decision and plans to commit suicide. After all, in his opinion, he has no reason to live. Left completely alone, he was doomed to lead a miserable existence without hope that one day everything would change for the better. But then he met a person who also managed to survive – Carol.

Later, more survivors join them. Gradually, the town of Tucson becomes populated with new residents. And this cannot help but bring joy. But the joy is overshadowed by one event. The council decided to expel the hero from the settlement. Because his behavior irritates absolutely everyone. He only hinders people from building their lives. Along with him, his wife is also sent into exile. The woman believes that she can regain the trust of the townspeople. But this requires some time.

Main characters
Phil Miller – believed that only he had survived the terrible epidemic that claimed the lives of billions of people. Of course, it later becomes obvious that this is a mistaken belief.
Carol Pilbasian – the hero's chosen one, who marries him and gives birth to a child. She believes that it is necessary to adhere to old traditions in order not to lose connection with the past.
Melissa Shart – a young widow who met the heroes after they got into a minor accident. She went with them to the city to try to become part of the community.
Todd Dimash Rodriguez – the man planned to return to Mexico, as he was born in those places and believed that there were living people there. He changes his mind after meeting Phil and his wife.
Erica Dandi – along with Gail, she tried to find a new safe haven. After meeting Carol and her husband, she expresses a desire to become part of the community.
